The Mahindra XUV 3XO model in South Africa shares the same appearance as the Indian version. It has C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and automatic LED projector headlights. The front bumper features a silver skid plate and a camera, while the grille is piano black with chrome slats.

It features body cladding on the doors and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels on the sides. The SUV has the aggressive rear end of the Indian model, complete with the new ‘XUV 3XO’ emblem, linked LED tail lights, and a similar bumper design.

Interior

The Mahindra XUV 3XO’s interior layout in South Africa is similar to that of the Indian model, although there are several notable variations. The South African model has black leatherette seats and an all-black interior. The Indian XUV 3XO, on the other hand, features a dual-tone interior of black and white with white leatherette seats.

Features and Safety

The Mahindra XUV 3XO in India and South Africa has the same attributes. Both include two 10.25-inch screens, a dual-zone air conditioning system with back vents, and a seven-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. In addition, it has ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and a panoramic sunroof.

Both versions come equipped with six airbags, traction control, rollover mitigation, an electronic stability control (ESC) system with hill hold and descent control, and a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor for further safety. All-wheel disc brakes, 3-point seatbelt reminders for every seat, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like lane keep assist, autonomous braking, and adaptive cruise control are also features.

Powertrain Options

The sole engine available for the Mahindra XUV 3XO in South Africa is a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol with 111 horsepower and 200 Nm. Either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox can be used with it. The Indian model also comes with this engine option.

A 1.5-liter diesel engine (117 PS and 300 Nm) and a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline (TGDi) engine (130 PS and up to 250 Nm) are also available for the Indian-spec XUV 3XO. With both engines, a 6-speed manual gearbox is included. While the diesel can be ordered with a 6-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), the turbo-petrol also comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
