06 Cars That Won’t Make It to 2025

We’re more than halfway through the year, which means that automobiles for the 2025 model year are starting arriving on dealership lots. Unfortunately, this means that a few automobiles will not make it to the new year, with at least 20

For some, this has been a long time coming. The old Nissan lineup might benefit from a big update, with the GT-R and Titan being phased out after this year. Meanwhile, Maserati is discontinuing the Ghibli in favor of something new. However, we will be sad to see the Bugatti Chiron, the classic Camaro, and the Ram TRX go.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

Pour one out for Alfa Romeo’s Quadrifoglio performance lineup, at least for now. The Giulia Quadrifoglio with a gas engine will be discontinued after 2024, but Larry Dominique, Head of North American Operations, thinks the clover badge may resurface in the coming years on an electric or hybrid performance car.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

Alfa will also discontinue the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. The 505-horsepower performance SUV will be discontinued in 2025 as the firm transitions away from internal combustion engines in favor of battery-powered performance.

Audi A4

Audi is reducing its lineup. That means the Audi A4 car, which has been a cornerstone of the German automaker’s lineup since 1994, is no more. At least not in gaseous form. The A4 moniker is likely to be revived in the coming years in the shape of an electric vehicle, but for the time being, the new Audi A5 will take its place.

Audi A5 Coupe

The A5 Coupe and A5 Cabrio are two more models that have succumbed to Audi’s reduced portfolio. The new A5 sedan will be the lone variant of the A5 when it goes on sale later this year, replacing the two-door and drop-top models that have been available since the first-generation vehicle debuted in the United States in 2007. The A5 Cabrio was also the last convertible in Audi’s lineup.

BMW X3M

BMW has not officially confirmed the X3M’s demise, but the writing is on the wall. The new X3 is unlikely to spawn a performance-oriented M model. BMW will instead focus on its next performance SUV, the all-electric iX3 M (or whatever it will be called). This validates a report from 2022 that the next X3 performance model will be electric only.

Bugatti Chiron

The advent of the new Tourbillon signals the end of the line for the beloved Chiron. The hypercar had a tremendously successful eight-year run, producing dozens of versions and, for a brief period of time, a world-record top speed of 304.8 mph. We will miss you, Chiron, and your incredible W-16 engine.
