KTM has finally introduced the latest model of the 390 Adventure, which is priced at Rs 3.68 lakh. This bike is built on an entirely new platform and shares very nothing with the bike we’ve grown to know over the last five years.
KTM 390 Adventure: Engine
The 390 Adventure is powered by the same engine as the current 390 Duke. This means a 399cc single-cylinder engine producing 46hp and 39Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed transmission and a bidirectional quickshifter. In typical KTM style, this mill is contained in a steel trellis frame suspended by adjustable WP suspension.
KTM 390 Adventure: Features
The 390 Adventure’s significant new feature additions include tubeless spoked wheels (21/17-inch front and rear) and cruise control, which is a first in this class. The new 390 Adventure weighs 6 kilograms more than the previous model, although carrying the same 14.5 litres of fuel. However, the new bike has a much lower 830mm seat height and a higher ground clearance of 227mm.
At Rs 3.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new KTM 390 Adventure has no direct competitors, with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 being the most cheap. KTM has also confirmed that, while the 390 Enduro R is not officially on sale, it will be soon.
