Yes! With the arrival of MotoGP Bharat, Aprilia India is shifting gears and preparing to debut the Aprilia RS440, at least based on the teaser photographs released by the business. The silhouette of a supersport motorcycle and the date September 7, 2023 are more than enough of a tease!
In addition to the teaser, an Aprilia supersport test mule has been spotted a few times in India, fueling speculation that the model in question is the RS440. The Aprilia RS440 test mule appears to sport a sleek and sharp front fascia with split-LED headlights akin to the RS660. The similarities to the RS660 don’t stop there. The exposed frame, side panels, and tapered tail are also recognizable. With rear-set footpegs and a split-seat arrangement, the motorbike features a sporty riding position.
Aprilia RS440 Features
The 440cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine in the future Aprilia RS440 is estimated to produce roughly 48 horsepower. The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox with a quick-shifter, with a top speed of roughly 180 kmph projected. Expect dual-channel ABS, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, and rider aids such as ride-by-wire, traction control, and so on. The Aprilia RS440 is said to include a USD fork up front, a monoshock at the rear, a twin-spar frame, disc brakes, and lightweight alloy wheels.
Once launched, the RS440 will compete with rivals such as the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R3, KTM RC 390, and the Kawasaki Ninja 400.
