BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Facelift Unveiled

Four years after its debut, BMW has introduced the facelifted version of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. With the facelift, the sedan receives a number of thorough changes, including a new design and a variety of additional amenities. BMW has announced that the 2 Series Gran Coupe will be constructed initially at the BMW Group’s Leipzig plant, with a market introduction planned for March 2025.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: Design

Visually, the 2 Series Gran Coupe is completely redesigned and now fits in with many of the German automaker’s current models. The new car’s exterior is identical to the previous 1-Series, with elegant oval-shaped headlamps and a smaller kidney grille. The car’s silhouette stays fairly consistent, with the same flowing roofline, short overhangs, and smooth body lines. BMW has also increased the car’s length by 20 mm and height by 25 mm. The vehicle’s rear end receives new taillamps similar to those found on the 1 Series.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe: Interior

The interior layout has completely overhauled, and it now has BMW’s Curved Display, which combines the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster into a single bezel. The air vent design has altered, as has the switchgear on the center console. The vehicle’s standard amenities include BMW Live Cockpit Plus and ventilated seats. The car also comes with BMW Driving Assistant, which includes front collision warning, lane departure warning, exit warning, and speed limit information, as well as a Parking Assistant with reversing assistance.

The 220d shares the same 2.0-liter diesel engine with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. Select areas, such as the United States, will also receive a 228 model (241 horsepower, 295 Newton-meters).
