BMW has launched the second made-in-India car The BMW M340 i xDrive which is a sibling to the series 3. The new sedan is assembled at the Chennai plant. And it is the first car under the ‘M’ badge to be manufactured locally.
The M340i is upgrade or the more sportier version to the standard 3 series and the 3 series Gran Limousine in India lineup. The car is launched at very competitive price tag of Rs.62.90 lakh. The BMW will mainly rival Mercedes-Benz AMG A35 and upcoming Audi S5 sportback.
Engine
What runs the car is the M TwinPower Turbo 3.0 lit inline-six-cylinder engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox. (Diazepam) The same engine is used in the BMW X6 and Z4. With engine you can go 0-100km/h in lightning 4.4 sec. It comes with xDrive all-wheel-drive system. It comes with 4 driving mode Comfort, ECOPRO, Sport, and Sport+.
