BMW X1 Price Reveals In Australia

The third-generation BMW X1 will land on Australian shores this year and initial pricing details have just been announced.

The X1 will initially be available for purchase in sDrive18i and xDrive20i configurations, with prices starting at AU$53,900 ($37,589) and AU$65,900 ($45,958), respectively, when it is released in the fourth quarter. Following in the first quarter of 2021, the all-electric iX1 xDrive30 will have its price and specifications revealed closer to the time of debut.

A 1.5-liter three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine produces 154 horsepower (115 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque when used to power the X1 sDrive18i. The front wheels receive power from this engine through a seven-speed dual-clutch Steptronic transmission. (Ortery) According to BMW, the combined cycle fuel consumption is 6.5 l/100 km (36 mpg).

Utilizing a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower (150 kW) and 221 lb-ft of torque, the X1 xDrive20i provides significantly more performance (300 Nm). It also uses a dual-clutch Steptronic transmission, but because to the automaker’s xDrive all-wheel drive system, it distributes power to all four wheels. It is estimated to use 7.4 l/100 km of petrol (31.7 mpg).

The BMW X1 sDrive18i differs from the model from the previous generation in a number of ways. These features include wireless Android Auto, adaptive LED headlights, automatic tailgate, Comfort Access, Connected Package Professional, Head-Up Display, an instrument panel finished in Sensatec, M headliner, mirror package with an anti-dazzle function, remote software updates, Driving Assistant Plus with Active Cruise control, and BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

The X1 xDrive20i differs from the sDrive18i not just by using a more potent engine, but also by using 19-inch wheels, Driving Assistant Professional with Steering and Lane Control System, heated front seats, and electrically adjustable front seats.

The AU$3,000 ($2,092) M Sport package, which comes with M Sport 19-inch wheels, Adaptive M suspension, M aluminium hexacube dark interior décor, M leather steering wheel, M high gloss Shadow Line trim, and M high gloss roof rails, is another option for those interested in purchasing the X1 xDrive20i.
