Cars Launched | Revealed in August 2024

In the Indian auto market, August has seen a lot of new debuts. The Nissan X-Trail made a comeback to start the month, and then the Tata Curvv EV, one of the most anticipated SUV coupes, arrived. But these aren’t the only models making their public debuts just in time for the holidays; a few SUVs were also introduced and will go on sale in the upcoming month. Here are all the vehicles that were introduced and made public in August 2024, without further ado.

Tata Curvv EV

The all-electric Curvv EV was eventually introduced by Tata Motors, and it starts at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Curvv EV, which is unique in its class, has an SUV coupe body type that gives it a more aggressive appearance while sharing many design cues with other Tata cars. It comes in three basic trim levels: Creative, Accomplished, and Empowered, with two battery pack options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh.

Mahindra Thar Roxx

Mahindra debuted the five-door Thar Roxx in the middle of August. It is just a regular Thar with an extra set of doors and a longer wheelbase. The Thar Roxx has a few cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the 3-door variant, including a restyled six-slat grille, C-shaped LED DRLs, and dual-tone alloy wheels. In comparison to the basic Thar, the Thar Roxx has a more upscale cabin and more features. It comes with rear-wheel and four-wheel drive options; the 4×4 variant’s pricing will be revealed shortly.

Citroen Basalt

Citroen introduced the Basalt to announce its entry into the SUV coupe market, with prices beginning at Rs 7.99 lakh. It shares many of the styling cues of the C3 Aircross platform, which serves as its foundation. The Basalt comes with two engine options and is offered in three trim levels: You, Plus, and Max. It will compete with the soon-to-be-released Tata Curvv and act as a substitute for SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate.

Citroen C3

Additionally, Citroen unveiled the revamped C3 hatchback, with ex-showroom prices beginning at Rs 6.16 lakh. This upgrade adds an automatic transmission to the list of features for the top-spec Shine model, along with LED halogen headlights, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, and six airbags. Prices for the revised C3 hatchback models with automatic transmissions have not yet been released by Citroen.

Nissan X-Trail

Nissan introduced the X-Trail in India for Rs 49.92 lakh (ex-showroom), offering it as a fully imported vehicle. After nearly a decade, the X-Trail returns to the Indian market and now sits beside the Magnite in Nissan India’s range.
