Ferrari Purosangue With Thin Camo Caught On The Move In Spy Video

The Italian automaker’s first “SUV” nears its global debut this year.

It’s been a while since Ferrari unveiled the Purosangue, the company’s first “SUV.” The four-door model will make its debut this year, and in this latest spy footage, courtesy of YouTube’s Varryx, a prototype with thinner wraps than ever was spotted on the move.

As you can see, the prototype almost revealed the Purosangue’s contoured body, however despite the thinner camouflage, Ferrari did an excellent job concealing some sections. The prototype was also mounted with a different set of wheels than the last sighting. The quad pipes that generated a meaty tone when on the run were still visible on the back end.

In terms of the face, the Ferrari teaser from March revealed a little portion of the Purosangue’s front fascia (see above).

Ferrari has yet to reveal any specifics about the Purosangue. It will be unveiled “in the coming months,” according to CEO Benedetto Vigna. We should expect a debut in the third quarter of 2022, based on how thin the coverings were on this last sighting.

The Purosangue, in particular, was praised by Vigna as a vehicle that would “beyond our clients’ expectations.” The Purosangue will play a significant position in the range as the completion of Ferrari’s 15-car offensive from 2018 to 2022.

Maranello has yet to announce whether the Purosangue would be powered by a V12 at launch. It’s a distinct possibility, given that the 12-cylinder engine is still the automaker’s crown jewel.

However, we do know that the Purosangue will usher in a new era for Ferrari. Not because it’ll be Ferrari’s first “SUV” – the company plans to push for electrification in the coming years, with the first Ferrari EV expected to launch in 2025.

The Italian automaker will announce its new business plan in June, which is worth noting.
