Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 Returns For Third Generation

If trucks and SUVs with three axles pique your interest, there is one company to consider. We’re talking about Hennessey Performance, and we’ve been hearing about various vehicles from the tuner for years – all with six wheels and tons of power.

Hennessey’s most recent 6×6 truck is the new VelociRaptor 6×6. It is currently in its third generation and is based on the current Ford F-150 Raptor, which debuted in February 2021. The first units of the six-wheeler were delivered earlier this month, according to the Texas-based tuner.

The VelociRaptor 6×6 produces 558 horsepower (416 kilowatts) and 672 pound-feet (911 Newton-meters) of torque, as opposed to the 600-hp Hennessey VelociRaptor with only two axles. It has more torque than the VelociRaptor with fewer wheels, but it ultimately outperforms the stock Raptor’s 450 hp (336 kW) and 510 lb-ft of torque (692 Nm).

Aside from the power boost, Hennessey also equipped the standard Raptor with “sophisticated” Fox suspension and dual-locking rear axles, which he claimed added 50% more tractive grip. The extra axle also allowed Hennessey to increase the bed length from 5.5 feet (1.67 meters) to 8 feet (2.4 meters).

The new Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 is also taller than the standard Raptor. This is accomplished through the use of a three-inch lift, upgraded Hennessey 20-inch wheels, and 37-inch off-road tires.

“Everything in Texas is bigger and faster, and our VelociRaptor 6 is no exception! Our latest six-wheel drive offering will delight customers across the US and around the world with its power and go-anywhere capabilities, building on the capability, power, and presence of our VelociRaptor truck “said the company’s founder and CEO, John Hennessey.

The Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 third generation costs $399,950, which includes the base Ford F-150 Raptor. This price includes all of the upgrades shown here (and more), as well as a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
