Honda India Made A Sale Of 7,821 Cars In January 2023
Honda Cars India (HCIL) reported monthly domestic sales of 7,821 units in January 2023, with the business exporting 1,434 units. Last year, the firm sold 10,427 units in the local market and exported 1,722 units over the same time period.
HCIL previewed a new SUV for the Indian market last month, with a launch scheduled for later this year. While specifics regarding the model are scant, it is projected to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor in the mid-size SUV sector.
“January 2023 volumes were in line with our expectations, as we are working on the seamless transition of our line-up to the approaching new emission requirements under RDE regime,” Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India, remarked on the occasion. We are upbeat about our success in 2023, thanks to robust client demand in the automobile industry.”
