The German company will start selling the new versions in Q1 2023.
For the 2023 model year, Hymer is giving its Fiat Camper Vans a major overhaul. The outgoing design, which has been around for six years, will be replaced by revamped styling and functionalities that aim to target a new set of buyers. According to the German company, camping has undergone a fundamental change in image in recent years, with younger and newbie motorhome buyers expressing more interest.
That said, the Hymer Camper Van model range on Fiat chassis has been updated with design, user comfort, and connectivity in mind. There will be four models, namely Ayers Rock, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone.
Hymer stated that the design and furnishings, as well as the installations and bodywork, are being updated. Some ideas and details from the Hymer VisionVenture concept vehicle from 2019 have been incorporated into the redesigned camper vans.
The updated Hymer Fiat Camper Vans feature a brand-new interior design with two distinct styles. For the natural look, cork, ceramics, and solid-surface materials were used, while premium felt was used for thermal insulation and sound absorption. To complete the cabin ambiance, all Camper Van models include a touch-operated, four-level lighting feature. A skylight feature will also be included in the cabin to improve natural light and air flow.
The updated camper van lineup will also include smart features like the Hymer Connect app. In a single digital platform, this app controls several vehicle components as well as displays various vehicle information (such as fresh water and grey water tank filling levels).
The Ayers Rock model of the Hymer Fiat Camper Van will start at €67,900 (approximately $68,000 at current exchange rates). The larger and more functional Yellowstone model costs €71,400 ($71,570).
Sales will begin in Europe in the spring of 2023. It’s unclear when Hymer USA will begin selling the redesigned Fiat-based Camper Vans in the United States.
