Hyundai Confirm Launch Date of its Upcoming Tata Safari-Rival

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will go on sale at the start of this year’s festive season, competing with vehicles like the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700.

The launch date of the mid-life facelift for the Alcazar has been revealed by Hyundai Motor India, the country’s second-largest automobile manufacturer. Launched on September 12, the new model will compete against a number of SUVs, such as the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari. Although it will have some cosmetic changes and new equipment, the future car should have essentially the same specs.

The engine will probably stay the same, even though there will be a lot of new soft parts. Thus, it is reasonable to expect the arrival of 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel and gasoline choices. According to the specifications of the present automobile, the oil-burner will provide 115 PS and 250 Nm, while the turbo-petrol engine will deliver 160 PS and 253 Nm. There won’t be any changes made to the available transmission options, which are a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT for gasoline and a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter auto for diesel.

The soft part changes on the new Alcazar are consistent with those on the most recent Creta, according to recent spy footage. In other words, new LED DRLs will be placed immediately below the hood line, and the front grille will be redesigned to resemble the donor model. There will even be new headlights, possibly with a multi-tiered design. There may also be some changes to the bumpers’ appearance. The side profile will stay the same, as is typical with these facelifts, with the new machine-cut rims being the only source of variation. The test mules’ extensive rear camouflage may be a sign of a thorough redesign of the taillights and boot lid. Additionally, the car manufacturer may create new paint options.

The inside of the new Alcazar might resemble that of the most recent Creta. The infotainment and instrumentation systems will be housed in a dual 10.25-inch twin-screen layout that will take center stage on the dashboard. The present setup of 6 and 7 seats should be maintained, with the former having a dual captain chair arrangement. The equipment list will also contain the following items:

  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Ventilated Front Seats
  • Dual-zone Climate Control
  • 360-degree camera
  • electrically-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Forward Collision Avoidance
  • Blind-spot Monitoring System
