Automobili Lamborghini’s Polo Storico honoured the company’s 60th anniversary by taking part in The Ice motoring event and international concours d’elegance on the frozen lake of St. Moritz. The most exquisite vintage automobiles in the world were on display at the event, including the unique Miura P400 S “Millechiodi,” which was verified by Polo Storico.
The Polo Storico division of Automobili Lamborghini is noteworthy because it is committed to preserving Lamborghini’s heritage by carrying out extensive restorations, approving vintage vehicles, and assisting owners in getting the most enjoyment out of their classic Lamborghinis.
The Miura P400 S “Millechiodi” was a highlight of the concours d’elegance due to its unique past and increasingly sought-after Certification of Historic Authenticity. In November 1969, this Blu Notte-painted 1969 Miura P400 S, chassis number 4302, departed Sant’Agata Bolognese. It was owned by a number of Italians before being purchased by Giovanni Sotgiu and Walter Ronchi, who turned it into an homage to the original Miura Jota. The nickname “Millechiodi,” which alludes to the Jota’s body’s rivet-heavy structure, means “a thousand nails.” The car received restoration in 2018 and Lamborghini Polo Storico approval in 2020.
Alessandro Farmeschi, Lamborghini’s Global After Sales Director, explained that the Miura P400 S “Millechiodiparticular “‘s departure from the original specs made certification difficult. It didn’t make sense to return it to its original form, though, because the modifications were high-level and clearly defined within a historical era.
The Iron Dames squad of female race drivers, who recently made their Daytona 24 Hours debut in the Huracan GT3 EVO2, were special guests at the Lamborghini Polo Storico activities. The Lamborghini Miura P400 SV was given the chance to be driven on the ice at St. Moritz by Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey, and Michelle Gatting. At the aforementioned occasion, the original Countach made a side-by-side appearance with the Miuras.
The celebrations for Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary will continue in September, with a 60th anniversary Polo Storico Tour in Italy reserved for classic Lamborghini car.
