The Mahindra Scorpio N has passed the Australasian NCAP crash test! The Mahindra SUV received 0 stars in the A NCAP crash test, while receiving a full five-star safety certification from Global NCAP. While the testing model included all essential safety features, it lacked ADAS, a critical criterion under the demanding program.
The Scorpio N earned 44 percent (17.67/40) in adult occupant protection and 80 percent (39.27/49) in child occupant protection in the test. The SUV received only 23% of vulnerable road user protection and failed the safety assist test due to a lack of ADAS features.
The Scorpio’s top-spec Z8 L trim, powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, was used for testing. While the Scorpio N is built in India and sold in numerous global countries, the crash test standards differ. While the future Bharat NCAP standards are derived and based on the Global NCAP, this rating should be used for cars manufactured in India.
