In October 2023, Maruti Suzuki achieved its highest-ever monthly sales figures, selling 1,99,217 units. Together with export sales, this represents a 19% year-over-year increase in sales.
Maruti Suzuki announced 177,266 units of total domestic sales, including OEMs, commercial vehicles, and passenger cars. The top four-wheeler manufacturer in India claims that October 2023’s domestic sales were also the company’s best-ever. Maruti Suzuki reported 147,072 domestic sales in October of last year. October 2023 saw the delivery of 168,047 passenger vehicles, down from 140,337 units in the same month the previous year.
Maruti Suzuki’s sales have been boosted by the introduction of new models and the update of existing utility models; in October 2022, the company shipped 59,147 units, up from 30,971 units in the previous year. The Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Jimny, Invicto, and XL6 are the models in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup. Additionally, the company’s shipments increased from 20,448 units in October of last year to 21,951 units in October of 2023.
The Alto and S-Presso small sector had a decrease of 14,568 units from 24,936 units in the previous year. However, compared to October 2022, when it sold 73,685 units, the compact category sold 80,662 units.
