Maruti Suzuki has a number of new models planned for this year. While the XL6 makeover will be the company’s next significant launch, it will also introduce the new-generation Brezza and an improved Ciaz. All three forthcoming models will be powered by the brand’s new 15L K15C petrol engine, which produces 115 horsepower. In the Vitara SUV, the same Dualjet powertrain (but with a 33bhp hybrid motor) is used. The gasoline unit will come with an integrated starting generator and an auto start-stop system in India.
The new 1.5L K15C petrol engine is expected to be more fuel efficient than its predecessor. A new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox with paddle shifters will be available. The new transmission unit has a sport mode and manual shift option, as well as improved ratios and modern technologies. It will be a replacement for the out-of-date 4-speed unit.
When it comes to the Maruti XL6, the facelift will be available on April 21st. Bookings for the car have already begun for a nominal fee of Rs 11,000 each. It is available for pre-order at Nexa and Arena dealerships. The MPV is set to undergo some alterations. The wider alloy wheels shown on the Indonesia-spec Suzuki XL7 are expected to appear on the new XL6. The revamped MPV could have a new infotainment system and fresh upholstery, similar to the 2017 Baleno. The 2018 Maruti XL6 facelift will include a sunroof, according to the latest teaser video.
Following the launch of the new XL6, Maruti will unveil the much-anticipated all-new Maruti Brezza, which will have extensive improvements both inside and out. The subcompact SUV will come with a wireless charging system, a 360-degree parking camera, a factory-installed sunroof, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, and more this time around.
