The arrival of MG Motor’s small all-electric vehicle, the Comet EV, in India was recently confirmed. The vehicle will be unveiled on April 19, with a price range of Rs. 10 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs expected (ex-showroom). The carmaker has released a first look at the Comet EV’s interior before its debut.
As seen in the image, the EV’s dashboard features a dual-screen setup with two 10.25-inch screens. The left unit will house the infotainment system, while the right will house the instrument cluster.
The modern-looking two-spoke steering wheel with circular buttons on either side sits in front of these screens. It has controls for the infotainment system and for scrolling through various information on the instrument cluster.
MG Comet EV Variants
The MG Comet EV will be available in five colors and two battery pack sizes: 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh, with claimed ranges of 200km and 300km, respectively.
MG Comet EV Rivals
The Comet EV will compete with rivals such as the Citroen eC3 and the Tata Tiago when it arrives. Fortunately, the Comet has separate controls for climate control, making it easier to use. Finally, the use of light colours gives the cabin an airy, premium feel.
