New BMW M2 To Go In Production | 2023 BMW M2

BMW’s San Luis Potos facility will be the only place in the world where the second-generation M2 will be assembled. The vehicle will go on the production line “at the end of 2022,” making it the third BMW product to be built at the same plant. Since 2019, the 3 Series has been produced on the same lines, and the new 2 Series Coupe is also produced there. BMW aims to hire an additional 800 personnel and launch a second manufacturing shift as a result of the M2. The commencement of manufacturing of the nee M2 will correspond with the 50th anniversary of the BMW M.

What We Know So Far

In terms of the M2, the latest version of the vehicle appears to be building up to be the last genuine driver’s performance car. According to early information, it will only be offered with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission. In Competition form, a tweaked version of the M4’s 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine will likely be under the hood, providing roughly 450 horsepower. Rumors are already circulating the internet that a more powerful version will be released later in the model’s lifetime. We’re afraid we won’t be able to provide you a precise release date for the new M2. The coupe is expected to be released in the United States in 2023.
