For more than a decade, Renault’s sub-brand Dacia’s Duster has been a household name across Europe, and the carmaker developed its reputation with the rugged yet inexpensive SUV, which has sold more than twenty lakh units. The second-generation Renault Duster debuted in 2017, and the SUV will be updated again by 2024, with significant changes both inside and out.
Renault, like Dacia, made a name for itself in India with the Duster, but it was unable to capitalize on it. The five-seater midsize SUV is no longer in production as a result of a lack of significant improvements and the arrival of more modern new rivals. According to a recent media story, a brand-new Duster is on the way.
The graphic based on the Bigster idea released here should give an early peek of what is in store, given the worldwide Duster and the domestic model have looked more or less similar over the years. With powerful body panels and lofty pillars, the third generation Dacia/Renault Duster might become a toned-down version of the Bigster.
2024 Duster Features
The 2024 Duster could feature a new and more prominent LED headlamp cluster, Y-shaped wraparound LED taillamps, a double-bubble roof design, upright tailgate, integrated front and rear skid plates, bold-looking fenders with black wheel arch cladding, edgy character lines, an aggressive bonnet structure, newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels, a snorkel-inspired design element, and more.
A high-set huge touchscreen infotainment system, all-digital instruments, enhanced surface trims and materials, and other features are anticipated to be included in the interior. Because it will be supported by a stretched version of the CMF-B architecture, it may grow in overall size, allowing for a roomier cabin and more boot space.
2024 Renault Duster Powertrain
The next-generation Duster could employ a plug-in hybrid powertrain from the Renault Captur E-Tech or a self-charging hybrid like the Nissan Juke Hybrid to meet the stringent future pollution regulations imposed on Europe, thanks to the platform’s ability to adopt different powertrains. A 4WD system will be available, in keeping with the off-roading aspect of the vehicle. India may get a hybrid powertrain, but a 4×4 variant is a long shot.
