On July 18, 2022, a brand-new Red edition of the Magnite subcompact SUV will be introduced by Nissan Motor India. Nationwide pre-bookings for the new model have already started. Three versions of the new Nissan Magnite Red Edition will be offered: the XV MT, the Turbo XV MT, and the Turbo XV CVT. The automaker claims that the new Red Edition of the SUV will make for “memorable journeys” thanks to its “bold design, power-packed performance, comfort, and cutting-edge technologies and connectivity features.”
The front grille, front bumper cladding, wheel arch, and body side cladding of the new Nissan Magnite Red Edition all have sporty red accents. In addition to the striking body graphics, an LED scuff plate, and a tail door garnish, the model sports a prominent Red Edition badge. The Red Edition has a wireless charger and ambient mood lighting as features. Additionally available are features like a 7.0-inch full TFT instrument cluster, WiFi connectivity, push-button start/stop, traction control system, brake assist, hill start assist, and vehicle dynamics control.
The two Nissan Magnite XL and XV CVT variants were recently withdrawn from the market by the automaker. The model lineup is currently priced between Rs. 5.88 lakh and Rs. 10.56 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The SUV’s engine lineup consists of a 1.0L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 72 and 100 horsepower, respectively. Diesel engines are not an option. Among the available transmissions are a CVT and a 5-speed manual.
According to reports, the Japanese automaker is thinking about producing a 7-seat Nissan Magnite SUV for the Indian market. The middle and third rows of the vehicle could have a sliding system to adjust legroom. In the cargo area, a foldable bench seat will be installed.
