Nissan Qashqai & X Trail Suvs Spotted Testing in India

Nissan’s next big launch for the Indian market will be the X-Trail SUV. The manufacturer has started testing the SUV on the Indian roads. Along with it Qashqai was also spotted.

Nissan Motor unveiled three new SUVs in October in response to the success of Magnite. The Juke, X-Trail, and Qashqai are available. The producer declared they would begin a feasibility study for each of the three SUVs for the Indian market. The Qashqai and X-Trail are currently being tested on Indian roads, according to the spy photos. The X-Trail SUV’s launch in the Indian market was also confirmed by the manufacturer, but the launches of the other two SUVs were not. The launch schedule is unknown as of right now.

The Alliance CMF-C platform serves as the foundation for the X-Trail SUV, now in its fourth generation. It has dimensions of 2,065 mm in width, 4,680 mm in length, and 1,725 mm in height. The SUV has a 2,705 mm wheelbase and a 205 mm ground clearance. When the SUV is finally introduced to the Indian market, there might be a few changes. The X-Trail is available in both a 5-seater and a 7-seater configuration on the international market.

The X-Trail is available with a turbo-petrol engine, a potent hybrid engine, and a naturally aspirated engine, depending on power output. Both a two-wheel drive and a four-wheel drive system are available for purchase. Nissan has not yet revealed which engine will be sold in India. However, given that other manufacturers have begun introducing hybrid engines in the Indian market, it might be the hybrid powertrain. Due to its hybrid engine, the X-Trail may have better fuel efficiency than its competitors.

In the Indian market, the X-Trail is anticipated to be released as a CBU, or completely built unit. This implies that the price might be a little on the high side. It will compete against the Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Fortuner, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
