Pagani Huayra R SCREAMING V12 SOUNDS at Monza!!

The track-only Huayra hypercar is one of Pagani’s most unique innovations, which include some of the industry’s most unique cars. The Huayra R is a car that amps up the performance of its roadgoing sibling, and due to a new video, we have the pleasure of watching and hearing it lap a racetrack in anger.

The sound this car emits cannot be matched by anything other than a Formula 1 car from the 1990s. Each change is marked by a sharp bang before the action resumes. The screaming engine mixes wonderfully with the straight-cut gearbox’s recognisable whine. Combine that with the engine’s lower tones and occasional off-throttle growls, and you have a recipe for an amazing-sounding vehicle in every regard.

If you’re unaware, the engine that generates those heavenly noises is a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 from AMG that has a sky-high 9,000 rpm redline and produces a mind-blowing 838 horsepower (850 PS) and 553 lb-ft (749.8 Nm) of torque. The reason why there aren’t any readily available stats for this car’s 0-60 mph or top speed is because, aside from lap times, numbers aren’t really its main focus. You can watch it in action on the renowned Monza circuit in the video below to see for yourself how rapidly it can lap a racetrack.
