Here is a video showing the Pak public’s response to the Mahindra Scorpio N. Both potential buyers and industry insiders are quite excited about the Scorpio N. In fact, the Scorpio N has impressed folks in Pakistan, which is across the border. A long back, we reported on a Pakistani couple’s response to the most recent Scorpio trailer. They were awestruck by the item, and this film captures their feelings.
The video is in the interview format, with the host exhibiting the Scorpio N promo video to random people on the street. He asks folks if they like cars. He asks their thoughts on the SUV after viewing them the video. The Scorpio N’s features, appearance, and available powertrains astound them all. They believe that this SUV belongs in the luxury market and contrast it with the high-end SUVs that are offered in Pakistan. When asked how much it cost, the general consensus was that it was close to Rs 1 crore (in Pakistan currency). This translates to about 38 lakh Indian rupees.
However, the Scorpio N ranges from INR 12.99 lakh to INR Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. These are the prices for manual variants with petrol and diesel mills. Nevertheless, the fact that the public in Pakistan thinks that this car is worth Rs 1 Crore (INR Rs 38 lakh) speaks volumes about the impression that it leaves on people who lay their eyes on it. The premium features that we have seen on the XUV700 earlier have seeped through to the new Scorpio as well which makes the cabin look luxurious and premium. Add to that the hardcore off-roading technology making it a default choice for adventure-seekers.

The new Scorpio N comes with a 2.0-litre mStallion direct-injection turbo petrol engine that produces 200 PS and 380 Nm, a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 132 PS / 300 Nm in lower variant, and a massive 175 PS / 400 Nm of peak power and torque on higher variants. There are manual and automatic transmission options to choose from along with the 4×4 drivetrain. The prices of the automatic and 4×4 versions will be revealed later this month while the rest of the lineup ranges between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. These are introductory prices and will be only applicable for the first 25,000 bookings.
