A Cayenne Coupe prototype can be seen navigating the Nurburgring in a fresh batch of spy images. Since February of last year, Porsche has been rigorously testing the updated model. Our photographers informed us that the Cayenne Coupe prototype in the new spy pictures, which show it navigating the Nurburgring, is from the GTS trim level.
We don’t have a video of this test run on the German track, but the Cayenne Coupe GTS facelift appears to be quite fast and composed in the photos. The trial vehicle is moving at a high speed during the photo session because the rear wing is deployed. There is a driver and a co-driver on board, and they are both wearing safety helmets, suggesting they are working to squeeze every last bit of performance out of the vehicle.

Unfortunately, we haven’t had the chance to take a closer look at the interior of the refreshed Cayenne, though our spies were able to catch a glimpse of the cabin recently.
The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine found in the Cayenne Turbo has been tuned down for the Cayenne Coupe GTS. The eight-cylinder engine is marginally more potent than the Cayenne S in GTS trim, producing 453 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. We won’t be surprised if the output figures increase by a few percent given the rumours about a potential power boost with the facelift. However, nothing can be confirmed at this time.
