Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Specifications Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Royal Enfield plans to release a new motorcycle soon, and the signs are there. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has long been rumored, as have a number of motorcycles RE has been testing over the last year or so, including a trio of 650 cc motorcycles, the next-generation Bullet 350, and an all-new Himalayan 450 with a liquid-cooled engine.

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 type approval document has surfaced online, revealing several details. For starters, the name Hunter 350 has been mentioned, implying that it will most likely be the roadster’s final production name. Furthermore, its dimensional figures indicate it has a higher chance of becoming the most affordable Royal Enfield bike ever.

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will have an overall length of 2,055 mm, a width of 800 mm, a height of 1,055 mm, a wheelbase length of 1,370 mm, and a gross vehicle weight of 360 kg, according to the document. The Hunter 350 is 85 mm shorter in length, 45 mm narrower, and 85 mm shorter in height than the Meteor, with a 30 mm shorter wheelbase.

When compared to the Classic 350, the Hunter is 90 mm shorter in length and 35 mm shorter in height, but 15 mm wider. The wheelbase length is 20 mm longer and 15 kg heavier in the Classic. The proportions indicate that the Hunter 350 will be priced well below the current range of RE motorcycles, with a price tag of around Rs. 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom).

If this is the case, it will compete with a number of touring-based oil-cooled motorcycles in the 250 cc range, as well as the recently launched TVS Ronin. It is supported by the same double cradle frame as the Classic and Hunter, and it will be available in single- and 2-channel ABS configurations. It will resting on telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.
