Suzuki GSX-8S Kevin Schwantz Edition

Suzuki has decided to release one of their most limited-edition motorcycles, the Suzuki GSX-8S Kevin Schwantz Edition. Only five of these will be produced by the brand and will be signed by the man himself.

This limited edition was created to honor the famous rider, Kevin Schwantz. He was recently spotted riding this 1993 championship-winning RGV500 in one of Italy’s competitions. Suzuki will give a certificate of authenticity along with the five special edition bikes that will be available for purchase.

The distinctive red and white paint scheme is applied to this special edition GSX-8S, and his race number ’34’ is printed on the tank shrouds. The wheels have also been painted white, and the pillion seat has been removed to make room for the seat cover. The additions are strictly cosmetic in nature.

The GSX-8S is powered by a 776cc parallel-twin engine that produces 81.7bhp and 77.6Nm. With this much power, it competes directly with the Yamaha MT-07 and Kawasaki Z650, as well as the KTM 790 Duke and Triumph Street Triple. The Suzuki has ride-by-wire, traction control, and riding modes as standard equipment. A two-way quick-shifter, low RPM help, full-LED illumination, and a five-inch TFT display are all included.

Suzuki India is expected to release the GSX-8S, along with its ADV sister, later this year. However, costs are estimated to be in the Rs 9 lakh-Rs 10 lakh range. If the brand decides to assemble the bikes in India, the prices may be slightly lower.
