Suzuki has unveiled the V-Strom 800DE adventure tourer at EICMA 2022. It gets a new engine and styling elements from other V-Strom ADVs.
For their lineup, Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled a new adventure tourer. Its name is V-Strom 800DE, and it will be located between the V-Strom 650 and 1050. In Europe and North America, sales of the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE will begin in February 2023. Suzuki has not yet announced plans to introduce the V-Strom 800DE to the Indian market.
Using brand-new technology, Suzuki has created a 776 cc mill. It is a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft and Suzuki Cross Balancer. The engine’s maximum power output is 83 bhp at 8,500 rpm, and the torque output has not been disclosed. A 6-speed gearbox is currently in use. Suzuki claims a 22.7 km/l fuel efficiency.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is classified as having 220 mm of ground clearance. However, the motorcycle’s seat height of 855 mm means that some people may be tiptoeing it. The V-Strom 800DE measures 2,345 mm in length, 975 mm in width, and 1,310 mm in height. The V-Strom 800DE has a 20-liter fuel tank and a kerb weight of 230 kg.

Ride by wire, fuel injection, a windshield with three adjustable positions, Suzuki Easy Start System, and Bi-Directional Quick Shift System are all included with the motorcycle. Under the protector and knuckle covers, there is also a USB port for charging mobile devices. Additionally, a Suzuki Drive Mode Selector is available, offering three distinct power output characteristics. Traction control has four settings and can also be disabled. Suzuki also provides a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster screen.
Suzuki’s wheels measure 21 inches up front and 17 inches back. This indicates that the V-Strom 800DE’s off-road capability is the manufacturer’s main concern. The motorcycle has semi-block-patterned tube-type tyres and wire-spoke wheels.
