Suzuki has taken the wraps off the GSX-S950 streetfighter tuned specifically for A2 license holders in Europe.
– Suzuki GSX-S950 A2 license breaks cover
– Churns out 48bhp
– Unlikely to be launched in India
The motorcycle’s performance is restricted with the help of electronics as it offers a mere 48bhp; a long way off from the GSX-S1000’s 152bhp output. The motor on the GSX-S950 A2 will undoubtedly feel sluggish, but since it is just an ECU remap, the power can be bumped up to 95bhp once the rider’s skills have progressed. But that’s not all, to make the motorcycle even more accessible, Suzuki has replaced most parts from the unrestricted model with budget-friendly components.
So, the adjustability for the front has gone and so has the adjustability for the rear which now only allows tweaking preload settings. Even the Brembo’s on the GSX-S1000 has made way for Tokico callipers with the same discs size at both ends.
While the Suzuki GSX-S950 would make a lot of sense for the budget-conscious Indian market, there is no word from the manufacturer to bring it to our country.
