Tata To ramp Up Tiago EV Production To Lower Waiting Period – See Details

Tata To ramp Up Tiago EV Production To Lower Waiting Period – See Details

Tata Motors introduced the Tiago EV a few months ago, with a starting price of Rs 8.49 million lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors received over 20,000 reservations in only one month. With deliveries of this Tata EV already beginning, the manufacturer is now trying to increase manufacturing of the EV in order to shorten the waiting period.

Interestingly, Tata has only begun delivering the Tiago EV’s extended range variant, which features a 24kWh battery pack mounted on the floor. Customers will soon receive the middle range, 19.2kWh trim. Buyers may select from the XE, XT, XZ Plus, and XZ Plus Tech Lux models in five colour options. A 15A plug-point, a 3.3kW AC wall box charger, and a 7.2kW AC rapid charger are among the charging possibilities.

Tata Motors finalised the acquisition of Ford India’s production unit in Sanand last month through its EV subsidiary, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited. Furthermore, all land and structures, including machinery and equipment, have been purchased and will be restored soon. We anticipate a rise in the brand’s manufacturing capacity, which will result in shorter wait times for Tata’s electric vehicles.
