The new TVS Jupiter Classic has been launched at a substantial premium.Â
The Jupiter is TVS’ best selling 110cc scooter in the country. Its neutral design, comfortable ride quality, and practicality make it one of the most sought-after scooters from the Hosur-based manufacturer.
TVS Jupiter Price:
The TVS Jupiter is available in six variants: Sheet Metal Wheel (Rs 69,571), Standard (Rs 72,571), ZX drum (Rs 76,846), ZX disc (Rs 80,646), ZX SmartXonnect (Rs 83,646) and Classic (Rs 80,316). All prices ex-showroom, Delhi.
TVS Jupiter Features:
The new Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect features a fully digital instrument cluster which is derived from the TVS NTorq 125. It also comes with navigation and voice assist, along with call/SMS access. The Jupiter ZX Disc gets the TVS intelliGo technology, which turns off the engine when idling for a long time. A gentle twist of the throttle turns the engine back on. This feature helps increase the scooter’s mileage and reduce emissions on traffic-riddled roads. It also gets a silent starter.
For some extra convenience there’s an all-in-one ignition key slot. The Jupiter also gets an LED headlight, an ample 21-litre underseat storage, a sizable 2-litre cubbyhole on the back of the apron, and mobile phone charging port.
TVS Jupiter Engine:
The TVS Jupiter is powered by a 109.7cc single-cylinder engine with fuel injection. It generates 7.47PS and 8.4Nm.
TVS Jupiter Suspension & Brakes:
The TVS Jupiter employs a conventional telescopic fork up front and a three-step preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is via a 220mm disc or a 130mm drum up front, and a 130mm drum at the rear with CBS as standard. The scooter tips the scales at 107kg, kerb.
TVS Jupiter Rivals:
The Jupiter’s chief rivals currently are 110cc scooters such as the Hero Maestro Edge 110, Honda Activa 6G, and Hero Pleasure Plus. Given its pricing, it also goes up against the Honda Shine, TVS Jupiter 125, and Hero Maestro Edge 125.
