The TVS Scooty Pep Plus is the smallest capacity scooter from the Hosur-based bikemaker. It’s light, nimble and is perfect for commuting in a fuss-free manner.
TVS Scooty Pep+ Price:
The Scooty Pep Plus Gloss Series is now priced at Rs 61,684 and the Matte Edition and Princes Pink colour variant cost Rs 64,584. The Special Edition variant is priced at Rs 62,684. (All prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS Scooty Pep+ Features:
The BS6-compliant TVS Scooty has the same features as its BS4 predecessors. It still gets an apron-mounted LED DRL, a halogen headlamp, analogue instrument console, and an EZ-centre stand, which is claimed to reduce the effort taken by 30 percent. Other optional bits on offer include an optional USB charging port and a side-stand alarm. The Matte Edition variant of Scooty gets minor cosmetic updates, such as a 3D logo and a special seat pattern. The Scooty Pep+ is available in six colours: Nero Blue, Frosted Black, Princess Pink, Silver Brown, Aqua Matte, and Coral Matte.
TVS Scooty Pep+ Engine:
For BS6, the TVS Pep+ gets a greener fuel-injected motor. The 87.8cc motor is now able to deliver 5.43PS at 6500rpm and 6.5Nm at 3500rpm, 0.43PS and 0.7Nm more than its BS4 counterpart. It uses a CVT transmission. Given that the Scooty weighs just 93kg kerb, expect it to be peppy on the go.
TVS Scooty Pep+ Suspension & Brakes:
The TVS Scooty gets an underbone frame with telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension. This lightweight scooter rides on 10-inch alloy wheels shod with 110mm drum brakes at either end with CBS. It has a 135mm ground clearance, an accessible 760mm seat height, and a 4.2-litre fuel tank.
TVS Scooty Pep+ Rivals:
The TVS Scooty has no direct rivals though it competes with other 110cc scooters like the Hero Pleasure Plus and Honda Dio. Price-wise, it competes with the Ampere Reo, TVS XL100, and Hero HF Deluxe.
