The TVS XL100 is a 100cc moped that is built to be rugged and utilitarian. It has the potential to carry heavy loads, making it the ideal choice for both urban and rural areas.
TVS XL 100 Price:
The TVS XL 100 is priced from Rs 44,691 for the Comfort variant. The more rugged Heavy Duty version retails at Rs 47,211 and Rs 53,050 for the electric start variant. The Comfort variant also comes with an optional electric start version, for Rs 55,810. TVS has priced the HeavyDuty i-Touchstart (electric start) Win Edition at Rs 55,552, whereas the Heavy Duty electric start Special Edition version is pegged at Rs 49,249 (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
The TVS XL100 also gets an optional retro fitment kit for the differently-abled. It consists of side wheels with fenders, independent suspension, and reflective tapes.
TVS XL 100 Features:
The XL 100 is as utilitarian as it gets, with barely any fancy features to keep prices in check. That said, the BS6 variant still gets a silent start system, engine kill switch, and even a USB charger to charge your smartphone. The instrument cluster features an analogue speedometer and an odometer readout. There’s no fuel gauge, so you’ll have to manage with just the reserve indicator.
TVS has equipped the XL 100 with a 99.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that generates 4.4PS and 6.5Nm. Thanks to the fuel injection, TVS claims the BS6 iteration offers 15 percent more mileage than its predecessor.
TVS XL 100 Suspension & Brakes:
The TVS XL 100 equips a telescopic front fork and a pair of rear shock absorbers. The moped comes to a halt using 110mm drum brakes at both the ends with CBS as standard. TVS has equipped the XL100 with 16-inch spoke wheels wrapped with tubed tyres at both ends.
TVS XL 100 Rivals:
The TVS XL 100 doesn’t have a direct rival, but if you’re looking for an affordable offering in the motorcycle segment, the Bajaj CT 100 and the Hero HF100 are good choices.
