So far, all two-wheeler brands in the Indian market have reported an increase in January 2025 sales compared to the same month last year.
Two-wheeler manufacturers in India have announced sales data for January 2025. Leading companies such as Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor Company, Suzuki Motorcycle India, and Royal Enfield all reported increases in overall sales compared to the same period previous year.
Hero MotoCorpÂ
Hero MotoCorp had total sales of 4,42,873 units in January 2025. The company sold 4,12,378 units in the local market, while the brand exported 30,495 units, representing a 141 percent increase over the same period last year. Motorcycles accounted for 4,00,293 units, while scooters made up 42,580. The two-wheeler manufacturer’s electric vehicle business, VIDA, has dispatched 6,669 units of the newly released VIDA V2 electric scooter.
TVS Motor CompanyÂ
TVS Motor Company sold a total of 3,97,623 units in January 2025. This represents a 17 percent year-on-year increase in sales compared to 3,39,513 units in January 2024. Domestic sales increased by 10%, with 2,93,860 units sold in January 2025. The brand’s motorcycle and scooter sales increased by 12% and 29%, respectively. Electric vehicles had a 55 percent increase over the same period previous year. Two-wheeler exports grew by 52% in January 2025.
Suzuki Motorcycle India
Suzuki Motorcycle India sold a total of 1,08,921 units in January 2025, representing a 14% increase over the 95,762 units sold in January 2024. Domestic sales totaled 87,834 units, a 9% increase over the previous year. Exports increased by 38 percent, hitting 21,087 units in January 2025. The brand also stated that it had sold a total of 10,40,025 units in FY 2024-25, exceeding its yearly production capacity of 1 lakh units.
Royal EnfieldÂ
Royal Enfield reported monthly sales of 91,132 motorcycles in January 2025, a 20% increase over January 2024. The company exported 10,081 motorcycles in the month, representing a 79% year-on-year increase. Domestic sales totaled 81,052 units, up 15% from the same period previous year.
