2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Spied Testing

The updated 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has been tested by TVS Motor Company, and the test mule is wearing a TN test plate. The recently released Bajaj Pulsar N160 and Hero Xtreme 160R are rivals of the hugely popular naked streetfighter in this market. Over the years, the motorcycle has received regular updates from the brand to bring a new vibe.

Late last year, the Apache RTR 160 4V received significant updates, including a Special Edition, a new LED headlamp assembly, three riding modes (Rain, Urban, and Sport), a gear position indicator on the LCD cluster, Bluetooth connectivity for the radial rear tyre SmartXonnect, etc.

2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Engine and Specs

The 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine is used and produces a maximum power output of 17.63 hp and a maximum torque of 14.73 Nm, so the performance figures remained the same. It is offered in the colours Racing Red, Metallic Blue, and Knight Black. Although the test mule does not exhibit any significant design changes, the performance could be enhanced.

According to reports, the air intake was changed, which might increase the power and torque numbers and improve the rideability overall. It will be intriguing to see if any of the Apache range’s well-known attributes—precise handling, excellent straight-line stability, and sporty acceleration—will be enhanced.

2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Price In India

The production model might not include the new exhaust system that the prototype has. Given that the update won’t be significant, minor price changes should be anticipated. Currently, the base variant of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V costs Rs. 1.22 lakh, and the Special Edition costs Rs. (armstrongpharmacy.com) 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom).

The upcoming RTR 160 4V may opt for a better safety net with a price increase of about Rs. 5,000 and possibly new colour schemes since the Bajaj Pulsar N160 already offers a segment-first dual-channel ABS system.
