2023 KTM Duke 200 Spied Testing In India For First Time

The first-ever spy photos of the brand-new 2023 KTM Duke 200 have surfaced, months after the brand-new Duke 390 was photographed. KTM India has started testing the new generation Duke 200 on public roads. The latest Duke series has been put through extensive testing by the Austrian manufacturer in Europe. Compared to the current model, the naked streetfighter has sharper styling.

You can also see the noticeable fuel tank extensions, new switchgear, and perhaps most significantly, an offset rear monoshock suspension. The styling of the 2023 KTM Duke 200 is similar to that of the Super Duke 1290R, and the subframe resembles that of the Duke 390. The swingarm is of a different shape as well and a dual-channel ABS system is another notable feature.

Also more angular is the redesigned subframe. The instrument console in the test mule is a significant improvement over the one in the current model and is larger. As a TFT could further increase costs, we do anticipate that it will be the same LCD unit as the one found in the 250 Adventure. Additionally, it might have a bigger front disc brake.

2023 KTM Duke 200 Engine And Transmission

The brand-new 2023 KTM Duke 200 is anticipated to make its global debut at the EICMA show in November, and its launch in India is very likely to occur the following year. Performance-wise, the current 199.5 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine with a maximum power output of 25.4 hp and a maximum torque of 19.5 Nm will be retained.

It will still be connected to a six-speed transmission, and mechanical improvements may have further improved handling while also reducing the motorcycle’s overall kerb weight compared to the previous model.
