The XUV700 and the Second Generation Thar, two of Mahindra & Mahindra’s most recent products, have received positive feedback, and the company is poised to take on new projects. Mahindra will unveil the New-Gen Scorpio in a few months, based on an original platform with numerous modifications, and it will be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations.
In July 2022, Mahindra will unveil three Born Electric Vision-based prototypes, which will be developed into production versions in the next years. According to a rumour, Mahindra may build an electric version of the XUV300 and KUV, with the 5-door Thar variant arriving in 2023 after a few practical adjustments.

Thar’s current version allows it to transform into a lifestyle off-roader, and Mahindra can greatly expand its portfolio with the 5-door variation to appeal to a wider clientele. According to the source, Mahindra has recognised the 5-door variant and will only market it to families looking for more boot room.
By adding two more doors to the existing three-door model, the overall proportions will have to be shifted back to accommodate a large rear seat, but the off-road capability may be reduced. The firm has yet to decide how it would update the 5-door Thar while maintaining its specialised nature.

The specifications and features are assumed to be the same as the 3-door Thar in the report, but there is bound to be room for improvement. The same 2.0-litre mStallion petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines would be used, with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter AT transmission. Accurate data have yet to be discovered, and if it were based on a single report right now, it would be completely out of bounds, but we expect it will rise.
