Tata Tiago And Tigor CNG Launch Details Leaked

Tata Motors has begun collecting pre-orders for the future Tiago and Tigor CNG, and that the company was planning to debut the vehicle this month. Now, the business has announced that both variants will be released in India on January 19, which is when we’ll learn their costs. The carmaker charges a nominal fee of Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10,000 for bookings, which varies depending on the region and version. Both models – Tiago and Tigor – will now be identical to their petrol-powered siblings in terms of appearance and creature amenities.

People are looking for alternatives to petrol and diesel-powered vehicles as a result of the dramatic increase in fuel prices last year, and CNG has been in high demand recently, particularly in metro cities. Even the government is putting more emphasis on CNG fuel. According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), there are 3,500 CNG filling stations in India as of today, compared to 1,300 outlets in 143 cities in 2019. This is now expected to grow to 6,000 stations by 2025, and 10,000 stations by 2030.

We don’t expect any changes in terms of powertrain options. The variants are equipped with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that produces 85 horsepower and 113 Nm of peak torque. Given the CNG conversion, we should expect a modest decline in power figures. As standard, a five-speed manual gearbox is expected to handle transmission tasks. The Tiago’s CNG unit appears to have three variations, whereas the Tigor’s appears to have two.The Tiago’s CNG unit will be provided with XM, XT, and top-spec XZ+ variants. As for the Tigor, its XZ and XZ+ variants will have the option of cleaner fuel. With the Tata Tiago CNG, a new ‘Midnight Plum’ colour will be available. Both cars will be the first in India to include a CNG engine in their top-end models.
