New Car And SUVs Launch In March 2022
Over the following few weeks, India’s automotive calendar will be jam-packed with events. The month February saw the unveiling of the new Baleno and the long-awaited Skoda Slavia which kicked things off. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk was reintroduced in a facelifted form, and the Toyota Hilux have its pricing announced. In this article, we take a deeper look at all of the upcoming new vehicle and SUV debuts in March 2022.

1. MG ZS EV facelift
The facelifted MG ZS EV will be available in dealerships in March. The powertrain will be one of the most significant upgrades. The electric SUV will be equipped with a larger 51kWh battery pack that will allow it to go 480 kilometres on a single charge. It’s now available with a 44.5kWh battery pack with a range of 419 kilometres. A 10.1-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with current smartphone connection, a PM 2.5 filter, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and Astor-like red stitching on the seats will all be standard on the new ZS EV. The new model will also have a few significant visual modifications.
2. Volkswagen Virtus
The all-new Virtus mid-size car from Volkswagen will make its world debut on March 8, 2022. It is scheduled to debut in May. The Volkswagen Virtus and the soon-to-be-released Skoda Slavia share the same platform, features, and engines. Both versions, however, will have somewhat different styles and characteristics. The new Volkswagen sedan will be available with 1.0L and 1.5L TSI petrol engines, as well as three transmission options: 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed DSG automatic.
3. BMW X4 Facelift
The facelifted BMW X4 will be launched in India next month. Official reservations for the event have begun at Rs 50,000. This time, the SUV will be available in a limited ‘Black Shadow Edition’ with a distinctive black finish. New bumpers, a bigger kidney grille, new LED headlights, and sleek LED taillights will all be available on the 2022 BMW X4. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster will be standard on the SUV. The X4 facelift is likely to have the same petrol and diesel engines as the new X3 under the hood.
4. New Ford Endeavour
In March 2022, the new-generation Ford Everest (also known as the Ford Endeavour) will be launched. The next version of the SUV will be built on a body-on-frame chassis and will share certain design elements with the Ranger lifestyle pickup truck. The Ford Endeavour will be available with three engines worldwide in 2022: a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel (210bhp/500Nm), a new 3.0L turbo diesel (250bhp/600Nm), and a 2.3L turbo petrol (270bhp/680Nm). A new off-road-focused Wildtrack X version will be added to the new Endeavour model lineup.
5. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to hit the market next month. Its official release date has yet to be revealed. The MPV will most likely get a new grille and fresh colour schemes. Inside the cabin, a few changes will be done as well. The new Ertiga will have the same 1.5L engine with 105 horsepower and a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
6. Toyota Glanza
In March 2022, Toyota will unveil the Toyota Glanza facelift, which will include extensive design and function changes. The hatchback is expected to get slightly redesigned bumpers, new headlights, and new alloy wheels. The Glanza makeover, like the new-age Baleno, is likely to come with a slew of innovative features. The hatch will be powered by the same 90bhp, 1.2L non-hybrid petrol engine with manual and AMT transmissions.
7. Toyota Hilux
In January 2022, Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled the Hilux lifestyle pickup truck for the Indian market. In March 2022, the pricing will be revealed. The Toyota Hilux will be available in two trim levels, Standard and High, and will be powered by a 2.8L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The oil burner produces 204bhp and is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission. It comes equipped with a 4WD system as standard.
8. Mercedes-Maybach S-Class
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class prices will be revealed on March 3rd, 2022. It will be offered in two versions: S580 and S680, each with a 503bhp 4.0L V8 engine and a 612bhp 6.0L V12 engine. A 9-speed automatic transmission will be standard on all models. The air-ride suspension and rear-wheel steering are standard on the Maybach S-Class.
9. Lexus NX 350h
In India, this will be the second generation of the NX 350h. The new Lexus NX350h has a completely new appearance and interior design, as well as a lot more features than the previous model. Unlike the previous NX, which was marketed in India in 300h form, the new model will be sold in 350h form, with a 2.5-litre Atkinson petrol cycle engine producing 192hp. The engine is coupled to e-motors on the front and rear axles, giving the SUV a total output of 244 horsepower in all-wheel drive mode.
10. Tesla Cybertruck
In March, the production-ready Tesla Cyberturck is expected to make its global premiere. Smaller and larger variants of the model are expected to be shown, each of which will be radically different from the idea. It will be a three-motor electric pickup truck having one, two, and three electric motors. Its top-of-the-line tri-motor ‘Plaid’ EV powertrain is reported to have a 500-mile range and a 0-60mph time of 2.9 seconds. The top-of-the-line model will feature a 650kg towing capability.
