Rimac Nevera Completes Winter Tests Before Customer Deliveries

Customer deliveries will begin within the next couple of months.

Rimac has announced that the Nevera’s last rounds of testing have been completed in preparation for client deliveries. The all-electric hypercar underwent two weeks of intense winter testing at Pirelli’s Sottozero Centre near the Arctic Circle in Sweden, according to the Croatian business.

The testing, according to Rimac, who is now the largest shareholder in Bugatti-Rimac, were intended to fine-tune systems such as ABS, ESP, and torque-vectoring. Because the daytime temperatures were exceptionally warm, the team had to test the Nevera at night for extreme temperatures.

The Rimac Nevera, with 1,914 horsepower, has already been homologated for customer deliveries in the United States and Europe. Rimac, on the other hand, had to travel to Sweden for extreme winter testing in order to validate the results in the climatic chambers and ensure that every control system works flawlessly in all conditions. During testing, the temperature was estimated to be around -15°C (5°F).

“We can make consistent and reliable observations on how our systems work in low temperatures by testing on a poor-grip surface like this. Things move lot slower than on asphalt, and we have lovely, flat, smooth handling tracks, so we know the data we get isn’t influenced by surface defects or temperature variations. We’re pleased to see the exact results we hoped for after these two weeks of testing “Bugatti-Rimac Chief Test and Development Driver Miroslav Zrnevi stated.
