The specs alone suggest that the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is an absolute beast on the track. However, seeing it lap Laguna Seca emphasises this point even more. The Speed Phenom YouTube channel has the exclusive opportunity to ride shotgun with Ron Fellows as he takes the new Z06 on some hot laps around the circuit in this video.
The first part of the video shows Speed Phenom walking around the Z06, inspecting some of its more interesting details. The carbon-fiber wheels are paired with track-focused Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres, which become practically slick after a few laps. A demonstration of the car’s exhaust modes is also included.
When the driving footage begins, the video above begins. Before the action begins, a disclaimer states that Fellows is simply having fun and is not attempting to set a fast lap time. Regardless of the disclaimer. Fellows doesn’t appear to be pushing every gear to the engine’s redline, but he’s also not taking it easy on the car.

Speed After a warmup lap with only Fellows in the car, Phenom takes the passenger seat. He has a good time, even sliding the Z06 and laughing at one point.
The Z06 has a fantastic sound. When you downshift, the engine screams and the exhaust pops.
Driving impressions of the new Z06 are still under embargo. Fellows and Speed Phenom get out of the car wearing big smiles, though.
The 2023 Z06 coupe is priced at $106,395 plus a $1,395 destination fee. The 2LZ trim raises the price to $115,595, while the top-tier 3LZ costs $120,245. The vehicle is also available as a convertible for the grades of $113,895, $122,595, and $127,245 respectively.

The LT6 5.5-liter V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft is standard on all models. The redline is 8,600 rpm, and the peak power of 670 horsepower (500 kilowatts) arrives at 8,400 rpm. At 6,300 rpm, peak torque of 460 pound-feet (624 Newton-meters) is reached.
