Hyundai Motor India Reports 5% Rise In Sales In August

Hyundai Motor India has said that the semiconductor situation is improving, helping its supplies go up.

Hyundai Motor India reported a 5% increase in total sales in August to 62,210 units on Thursday. In the previous August 2021, the company had delivered 59,068 units to dealers. Domestic sales increased 6% to 49,510 units, up from 46,866 units the previous year. Its exports last month totaled 12,700 units, a 4% increase from the previous month’s total of 12,202 units.

According to the company, the semiconductor situation is improving, allowing supplies to increase. “(This) allows us to serve our beloved customers with their car during the festival season, which has begun in India with Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi,” said Tarun Garg, HMIL Director of Sales, Marketing, and Service.

The company recently launched the 2022 Tucson SUV, which has received strong booking numbers and customer response, according to the company. The SUV was released last month with a starting price of 27.69 lakh and a top-of-the-line variant priced at 34.39 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
