The Honda CB125R, Honda’s smallest neo-sports cafe offering, has been updated for 2023. The entry-level CB receives four new color schemes for the new model year, including matte black, silver, blue, and candy red. While the black color scheme features all-black bodywork and cycle parts, the other paint schemes feature gold USD forks and wheels.
In every other way, Honda has left the motorcycle alone. The bike’s premium components include 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) upside-down forks at the front and petal-type Nissin-sourced disc brakes at both ends.
Furthermore, a dual-channel ABS setup comes standard. It is supported by a steel trellis frame and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends.
2023 Honda CB125R Engine
The motorcycle is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.7bhp and 11.6Nm of peak torque. Honda claims that this bike can reach 105kmph, which is respectable for a 125cc machine. It has a fuel tank capacity of 10.1 litres and a kerb weight of 130kg. There is a full-LED lighting system and an inverted LCD console among the features.
2023 Honda CB125R Design Updates
Honda Motorcycles, on the other hand, has upgraded the hardware of the new Honda CB125R. The company installed a new 41mm Showa Big Piston front focus for this bike. However, no changes have been made to the vehicle’s braking system. This bike has 296mm front disc brakes with Nissin callipers and 220mm rear disc brakes. The ‘Neo Sports Cafe’ design of this motorcycle has also been retained by the company.
This is because the company considers this design to be quite modern and fresh. The new Honda CB125R’s launch expectations in the Indian market are very low, as this bike will be very expensive in terms of budget in the Indian market.
In international markets, the Honda CB125R competes with the KTM 125 Duke, which is also available in India. Honda is unlikely to bring the smallest CB to the United States anytime soon.
