BMW F 900 GS And F 900 GS Adventure Launched; At Rs 13.75 Lakh

BMW Motor India has now revealed the costs of the new F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure. Priced ex-showroom at Rs 13.75 lakh for the F 900 GS and Rs 14.75 lakh for the F 900 GS Adventure, respectively. The two motorcycles will be sold in two color options each, Passion and GS Trophy for the former and Blackstorm Metallic and Ride Pro for the latter, and will be sent to India as fully assembled machines.

Feature

The sleek design of the new BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure places a strong emphasis on riding triangle, comfort, and ergonomics. With a more streamlined appearance, the front part and the side fairings that surround it have a sleeker, more understated appearance. The motorcycles come with a wide range of contemporary rider aids, such as switchable ABS that can be altered based on the rider’s riding situation, several riding modes, and traction control for increased stability. The motorcycle also has complete LED lighting, keyless start, and a big TFT color instrument panel with Bluetooth capability.

The new BMW F 900 GS has undergone major weight reduction, which is the biggest modification. The F 900 GS weighs 14 kg less than the F 850 GS because of multiple upgrades, including as a lighter plastic fuel tank, an updated battery, and an Akrapovic rear muffler. These modifications help to increase agility overall and in handling. The F 900 GS Adventure motorbike has a big 23-liter fuel tank, an aluminum sump guard, auxiliary lighting, and an adjustable touring windscreen.

Engine

The F 900 GS has a fully redesigned liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as its powerplant. With the displacement raised to 895 cc, the engine can now produce up to 105 bhp of peak power and 93 Nm of peak torque. With a 6-speed gearbox, the engine’s performance is improved, giving it a versatile choice for off-road and on-road excursions.

In terms of competition, the Triumph Tiger 900 GT and the Honda XL750 Transalp are opponents of the BMW F 900 GS, while the Triumph Tiger 900 GT and the Ducati DesertX are opponents of the F 900 GS Adventure.
