BMW X5 M Gets G-Power Upgrade, 800 HP, with Carbon Body Kit

The BMW X5 M is an SUV that combines performance and utility in a stylish package. However, G-Power enjoys turning up the power and style on a number of already powerful makes and models. The latest creation from the tuner, the new X5 M Typhoon S, gives the sporty car a new look and significantly more power than the stock model.

With 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (749 Newton-meters) of torque, the base X5 M is by no means a weak vehicle. Although it is capable of producing 617 hp (460 kW) in Competition trim, this is significantly less than the output of G-tuned Power’s model.

The twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine’s output is increased to 800 hp by the X5 M Typhoon S. (596 kW). G-Power uses a number of powertrain upgrades to produce this insane power figure. The larger turbochargers that increase the boost pressure are one of the more notable improvements. The compressor, turbine wheel, and housing of the larger turbos are larger.

Reducing exhaust temperatures and exhaust gas back pressure, the tuner’s stainless steel exhaust, which connects to G-Power downpipes, also contributes to increasing output. G-Power adds carbon-coated tailpipes to complete the system.

G-Power combines the increased power of the Typhoon with an exterior aesthetic upgrade. The tuner’s nine-piece carbon aerodynamic kit, which includes a new front spoiler, wheel arch extensions, side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a rear spoiler, is installed on the high-performance SUV. Along with changing the wheels to 23-inch Hurricane RR spinners, G-Power also lowers the SUV by 40 and 45 millimetres (1.57 and 1.77 inches) at the front and rear, respectively, using height-adjustable coil springs. This drastically alters the SUV’s appearance.

The most recent example to make its debut in the series is the new BMW X5 M Typhoon S by G-Power. The X5 M and X6 M Typhoon models were previously introduced by G-Power well over ten years ago. With a new iteration that produces more power than ever and combines the additional horsepower and torque with a fashionable body kit, the most recent example maintains the nameplate of the tuner.
