BYD Seal Is Officially Listed On Its Official Company Website
The Seal is now officially mentioned on BYD India’s website. At the Auto Expo 2023, the Chinese carmaker debuted the electric sedan for the first time. The Seal’s design is based on the Ocean X idea and adheres to BYD’s ‘ocean aesthetics’ design language.
It includes the world’s first 8-in-1 high-efficiency electric powertrain and is based on the brand’s EV platform (e-platform 3.0). The Seal is also the first to adopt BYD’s Cell to Body (CTB) technology, which integrates the battery into the body.
The BYD Seal is available in two battery pack configurations worldwide: a 61.4kWh unit with a stated range of 550km and an 82.5kWh pack with a claimed range of 700km. The electric vehicle can go from 0 to 100kmph in 3.8 seconds. The engine details for the India-bound vehicle are yet to be published.
