5 Rarest Vintage Cars Owned By Celebrities (Part 1)

Many celebrities have more money than they know what to do with. Some buy expensive homes with beach views, while others buy private jets to take them away to exotic locations at a moment’s notice. Some celebrities are car aficionados who drive high-end vehicles.

Here are 5 of the rarest classic cars owned by celebrities.

Many celebrities like to acquire brand-new vehicles to stay current, but others love older automobiles. While not everyone in the spotlight is as passionate about cars as Jay Leno, they all have amazing taste in automobiles. For example, Robert Downey Jr. has a classic BMW 3.0CSi that he converted with an E34 M5 engine. Isn’t it cool? Rowan Atkinson has owned a McLaren F1, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato, and an MG XPower SV, among other rare and unusual vehicles.

So, while some celebrities participate in the pricey and rare automotive craze for the added fame and glory, others genuinely like and value their car collections.

1. Elvis Presley’s 1955 Cadillac DeVille – Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is one of the most well-known musicians in the world, owing to her unique style and often controversial choices. She is a car fanatic who owns a variety of historic American vehicles, including a 1960s Ford Mustang, a blacked-out Chevy El Camino, and even a 1983 Mercedes-Benz W123 300D sedan. She also enjoys contemporary vehicles, owning a Lamborghini Huracan and two Rolls-Royce Phantoms.

Joanne opted to make a statement as she arrived at the places for her gigs while promoting her fifth studio album. She accomplished this by purchasing a 1955 Cadillac DeVille originally owned by none other than Elvis Presley. After the tour, she sold it to a museum, where it is currently proudly displayed after hauling two of the music industry’s top celebrities. Talk about a one-of-a-kind vintage vehicle.

2. 1963 Porsche 356 – Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey is best known for his role in Gray’s Anatomy, a renowned medical drama. Many people are unaware that this well-known actor is an obsessive vehicle collector who also likes motor racing. He even has his own racing team and has competed in a number of endurance racing tournaments.

His first automobile, a 1963 Porsche 356, is one of his favourite cars in his collection. When he was younger, he spotted a poster of a Porsche 911 and determined that was the automobile he wanted to possess. Unfortunately, 911s are extremely pricey, so he settled for the 356 – a car he has stated that he would never sell.

3. 1971 Lamborghini Miura SVJ – Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage has been in a number of well-known films. The Gone in Sixty Seconds remake, in which the Ford Mustang GT500 ‘Eleanor’ became bizarrely famous, is arguably the most famous among car fans.

Cage has a diverse range of interests, including ownership of properties all across the world. One of his major financial expenditures was the purchase of a one-owner 1971 Lamborghini Miura SVJ from the Shah of Iran. He bought it in 1997 but sold it in 2002 due to financial constraints, since the automobile cost him $450,000.

4. 1965 Shelby Cobra – Aaron Paul

Aaron Paul is most recognised for his role in the award-winning series Breaking Bad as Jesse Pinkman, Walter White’s former classmate and cooking companion. Following the popularity of Breaking Bad, Paul moved on to feature in films like Need For Speed, a live-action adaptation of the popular computer game.

To commemorate his accomplishment, Paul purchased a 1965 Shelby Cobra 427, one of Shelby American’s most iconic automobiles based on the British AC Ace. Paul’s Cobra is done up in typical Shelby colours: blue with twin white stripes. Paul is frequently spotted driving it around.

5. 1959 Porsche 718 RSK – Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld starred in the legendary sitcom Seinfeld, which was about nothing and everything at the same time. Seinfeld had amassed considerable cash as a result of the sitcom’s success, which he subsequently used to buy vehicles, notably Porsches.

Seinfeld has many 911 variants, but one of his most prized possessions is a 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Formula Two Grand Prix race vehicle. The 718 RSK is powered by a 1.5-liter flat-4 that produces only 142 horsepower, but the car’s entire weight is just shy of 1,200 lbs, making it a quick little thing.
