Ford Fusion Active Spied Testing in China, Launch in 2023

Ford has been very clear that the Evos introduced in China won’t be sold anywhere else, but a high-riding, tough waggon with similar design cues has been spotted in North America and Europe. Although the Blue Oval hasn’t officially endorsed the name, it is currently known as the Fusion Active. The prototype is visible here, still covered entirely in camouflage. However, since we’re dealing with two distinct vehicles, there’s more going on than meets the eye.

Ford has pretty much given up on cars in favour of concentrating on SUVs, as evidenced by the two prototypes seen testing in Spain’s hot weather. This assertion is only partially accurate, though, because the Fusion was recently updated in China, where it is sold under the Mondeo name. The Focus will no longer be produced globally after being discontinued in the United States in 2025. At least a brand-new Mustang is coming.

In addition to the updated Mondeo midsize sedan and the Evos compact car, Ford recently launched the 2023 Equator and Equator Sport in China. Along with the Focus small sedan and the Territory compact crossover, it is also producing the Mustang Mach-E there.
