Hero Vida V1 Electric Scooter Launched In India

Hero MotoCorp’s EV-only Vida sub-brand has made its domestic market debut with the release of the Vida V1 electric scooter. It is available in two different models: Plus and Pro. The former is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh, while the latter is priced at Rs. 1.54 lakh, a Rs. 9,000 premium (both prices, ex-showroom).

With the sharp LED turn indicators emerging from the sides of the short black flyscreen, the electric scooter has a sharp design language. The front end features a sleek LED headlamp with LED Daytime Running Lights for a sporty appearance, while the split seat black seat setup is complemented by dual-tone alloy wheels at the front and rear.

The Vida V1’s top speed is claimed to be 80 kmph, and the fast charging capability allows the electric scooter to recharge at a rate of 1.2 km per minute. The top-spec Vida V1 Pro variant has a claimed riding range of 165 km on a single charge, which will undoubtedly be its highlight given the premium price tag.

The Vida V1 Plus, on the other hand, is said to be capable of 143 kilometers on a single charge. The V1 Pro, as expected, is faster off the line, accelerating from zero to 40 kmph in 3.2 seconds, while the Plus variant takes two-tenths longer at 3.4 seconds. The Vida V1 series is also packed with advanced features and technologies.

Hero Vida V1 Features

The Vida V1 electrified scooter comes with a seven-inch touchscreen display, cruise control, a two-way throttle system, keyless control, and SOS alert, among other features. From October 10, 2022, the Vida V1 Plus with a 3.4 kWh battery and V1 Pro with a 4 kWh battery can be reserved at authorized dealerships or online.
