Honda has launched a new variant of the Activa 6G called H-Smart. We reviewed the Honda Activa 6G and here’s what we liked and what we didn’t about the scooter.
Honda Activa 6G Prices
The Honda Activa 6G is priced at Rs 74,536 (for the standard trim). The Deluxe variant is priced at Rs 77,036. The Premium Edition, on the other hand, retails at Rs 76,859. The newly launched H-Smart variant is priced at Rs 80,537 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Honda Activa 6G Features
The Activa 6G is styled after the Activa 125. That said, the LED headlight is only available on the Deluxe variant. Unfortunately, the Japanese giant also chose to skip the full-digital instrument console and the scooter makes do with a rather simple analog unit with readouts such as the speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge.
The Activa H-Smart variant gets a smart key that offers a whole range of functions like automatic lock/unlocks, engine immobilizer, and keyless start. This variant also gets alloy wheels.
Honda Activa 6G Engine
Activa’s 109.51cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine is tuned to produce 7.79PS and 8.84Nm. It also gets an ACG starter motor (silent starter) and an engine kill switch. The H-Smart variant is OBD-2 norms compliant.
Honda Activa 6G Suspension & Brakes
One of the most significant changes to the Honda Activa 6G from the Activa 5G is the presence of the telescopic fork and a larger 12-inch front wheel. These updates lend the Honda Activa more stability in the straights and through the bends. The preload-adjustable monoshock and 10-inch rear wheel remain unchanged. The H-Smart variant gets alloy wheels. Unfortunately, Honda has skimped on a front disc brake. So, the Activa 6G makes do with 130mm drum brakes on both ends. CBS is offered as standard.
Honda Activa 6G Rivals
The Honda Activa 6G is a trusty, no-frills scooter, making it a household name in India. The Honda Activa goes up against the TVS Jupiter and Hero Pleasure Plus. For the same price as the Activa 6G, you can also get the Hero Splendor Plus, Hero Passion Pro 110, and the Honda Dio.
